Today we share with you the beautiful wedding of Rebecca and Damien. This was a local Brisbane wedding with the ceremony at the iconic St Stephen’s Cathedral followed by the reception at the glamorous Stamford Plaza in the River Room.

The Wedding Dress

Rebecca wore a stunning ballgown wedding dress by renowned bridal designer, Maggie Sottero. The bridal gown features floral lace appliques drifting down a tulle skirt, an elegant illusion V-neckline, and a glittering Swarovski crystal belt. Rebecca looked like royalty on her wedding day and said of the gown:

It was so perfect. Everyone thought that it was incredible and that it suited me so well. A true princess gown!

Creating the Perfect Bridal Look

Rebecca’s bridal look was complete with stunning hair and make-up by the ladies from The Powder Room. Her luscious locks were pulled back into a chic low bun and her make-up look featured golden hues that highlighted her beautiful, sparkling eyes. The picturesque bouquets were created by Jacqui M Design. We especially love the deep burgundy colour incorporated into the bridesmaids’ bouquets, a perfect match with their gowns. Rebecca’s bouquet was a classic ivory assortment fitting her elegant bridal style perfectly.

Ceremony and Reception

Rebecca made her way down the aisle in Brisbane’s iconic St Stephen’s Cathedral. Right in the heart of Brisbane’s CBD the Cathedral is heritage-listed and has the most spectacular stained glass windows. Rebecca’s gown was absolutely superb for this ceremony venue and she paired it with a two-tier cathedral length veil. The celebrations then moved to Stamford Plaza for a lovely reception in the River Room. The reception was brought together with the help of three talented vendors; Beautiful Weddings, Bouquet Boutique and Event Letters. The incredible four tier cake featured gorgeous golden elements! This was the creation of A Little Cake Place who have won multiple awards for cake design.

Wedding Photography

Rebecca and Damien’s wedding day was captured by Evoke Studios. Rebecca said she felt like a princess on her wedding day and we think Evoke Studios captured this perfectly.
