Becki is from Manchester, UK and Carly is from Brisbane, AU. They met whilst they were both overseas working at Disney World, Orlando, USA and were there together for 6 months. After this, Becki came over to Australia to visit Carly for two months and that is when they decided to do long distance. They did long distance for nine months before Becki moved to Brisbane to be with Carly.

After dating for 4.5 years, they went on a trip to Switzerland together. While there, they had plans to meet Becki's family in Paris and then head to the UK for two weeks to spend time with Becki's family.

"Whilst in Switzerland, Carly had planned to propose to me (little did I know). She organised a day out in some castle grounds in Gunten. She got down on one knee in front of a beautiful Swiss lake on the castle grounds! It was amazing. She had also organised a photographer to capture the moment. Later in the evening, she had organised a private dinner and spa for us to celebrate!"
